Lights, Camera, Action!

Great Job Scientists of the Week!!!!  These scholars have presented awesome experiments to our class!  They have presented experiments on topics such as matter, density, magnetism, air pressure, and solutions/mixtures.  We look forward to seeing many more!

3rd Trimester AR Reading Contest

The AR reading contest - Be A Smart Cookie - began March 1st.  First-sixth grade classes have received a cookie jar on the bulletin board outside the library.  Students will receive a "cookie" in the cookie jar for each test that they pass.  Our Room 133 kids are doing an awesome job on passing tests, so keep up the great work!!  Check out our O.S.C.A.R.S. (Outstanding Stars Celebrating Accelerated Reading Success) Club Board in our classroom, also!

Field Trip Fun

The first graders had a wonderful time visiting Denver's Nature and Science Museum.  We saw an awesome space show in the planetarium and then we had some time to explore the other exhibits.  The students loved visiting the mummy, dinosaur, lizards and reptiles, and rocks and minerals exhibits.  We can't wait to go back when they open the new Ancient Inca's, Maya's and Aztec's exhibit.
